Movie review: Private Tropical 9 "Coral Honeymoon" (2004) (Bibi Sox, Rita Very, Donna Merry)

 

Max Bellochio decides to start this new edition of Private Tropical already in paradise, leaving the opening in Europe for another time. The camera flows around the island of Martinique, specifically the Ilet Thierry, and soon focuses on a pontoon that leads to an old hotel.

The scriptwriter here takes a license of great depth since on that small islet, next to Martinique, the only hotel is the Ilet Thierry Habitation, which is not at all the hotel where our protagonists will live their fun adventures.

The actual hotel in the film is the Habitation Lagrange, a picturesque place in the Marigot area on the main island of Martinique, called Hotel Coral in this feature film. In this blog they explain their history a bit.

In the following map we enter the hotel fully, among its decorated rooms, with tropical murals and typical colonial decoration; and our dear Francesco Malcom appears, who is apparently a good hotel employee, talking to the manager.

Remember they are coming for their honeymoon ...

The employee tells the manager that the suite is ready and the boss reminds him that those clients come for their honeymoon and that everything has to be perfect. He urges him to go to the pontoon now to pick up the newcomers and not make them wait a minute.

The Coral hotel, located in the heart of Martinique, stands out for its tranquility, manicured gardens and reverential service. It is even the manager who informs the clients that lunch is at 12:00 noon and dinner at 8:00 pm, with the evening falling.

As soon as the manager leaves, the wife asks the husband to go up to the room to fornicate. But the husband tells her that the trip has been very long and that he prefers that she take a shower while he takes a little walk around the island. We don't know where they come from, but the girl's British accent suggests that they have crossed the pond. It is not a small journey, and we understand the husband.

I'm tired even to go to bed ...

Coincidentally, in the same gardens, a client reads the newspaper with a carefree air and asks one of the employees for an "extra", who dresses in a curious Creole style. Impressive antithesis: some so tired and others so lustful.

Our tired husband, named Richard, is not going to go far on the walk, when he turns the corner he discovers the lovers who enjoy themselves on a hammock, and to look at it he does not seem so tired. Meanwhile, his wife has masturbated in the shower, with a bit of spite hovering over her mind.

Richard's brand new wife waits on the suite's balcony until Richard returns. She lectures him that she has been waiting for him for a long time, but he lies to her and tells her that the walk has been extended because there were many things to see and that he is going to love the island. She uses the reply to tell him that she is clean after the shower, ready to make love.

But for Richard, even though he's hot from watching the garden couple, it doesn't seem like a good time either. She is hungry and wants to dress up for dinner at the Habitation Lagrange restaurant.

The woman finishes her steak and reminds her husband that he has an outstanding debt. Let him finish his cod and let them go up to make love. Perhaps the girl tried it for the first time on her wedding night and is very keen to repeat it, to make good use of the time after years of celibacy. But Richard rebuts him with an excuse to hallucinate: now, after showering and putting on a shirt for dinner, with a full stomach, and of course with the supposed accumulated fatigue of the trip, it is his time of day to go jogging. . What a joke! We began to ask ourselves questions, as viewers, of whether Richard has an erectile dysfunction problem.

Those who do not waste time are the hotel co-workers, either with clients or with each other. Now it is Francesco who takes advantage of the darkness to give pleasure to his colleague.

The next day, the disgruntled wife receives a call from her father, to whom she blatantly lies, claiming that they are on the boat fishing and that Richard is a new man, who is always looking out for her. This way of misinforming the father makes us understand that he has a lot of respect for him, perhaps because he is a powerful man.

The reality is quite another and that is that Richy is on a slope of Ilet Thierry, with a blonde cannon. Apparently he is not impotent or anything like that because he looks well endowed and gives a good account of the girl.

When he returns to the hotel, at night, he takes a shower to get rid of the scent of a foreign female, and when he leaves the bathroom his wife awaits him with fine, suggestive lingerie, protected from the attack of insects by the mosquito net.

Far from thinking that our Richard suffers from malaria, what seems clear is that for him is never a good time to make love to his wife. Nor do we understand why he has married her, if the desire is so low. The next morning, miraculously recovered from his "headache", Richard goes on a trip with two girls, both of them employees of Coral Hotel. At least we already checked that her indisposition the night before was not serious.

Is it possible that someone had a single honeymoon? Well, sure because in this world almost everything happens. Here Max Bellochio has dramatically portrayed one of these embarrassing situations.

"I've been birding, but looking for romantic spots"

This Richard does not cut anything and when his wife starts to hit him because he has been on the beach for more than two hours, more boring than an oyster, he responds that he has been looking for beautiful places to go with her later. She doesn't hold back and tells him that she could have taken him now, but Richy knows them all and reminds her that he was sleeping when he left. He promises her that next time they will go together, but maybe there will be no next time ...

It is clearly an application of the Machiavellian technique of breadcrumbing.

The conspiracy

The employee (Francesco Malcom) has a clinical eye to detect couple crises and has understood that the relationship between Richy and his wife is not strong, despite the recent bond. Now he has looked for two cronies to finish breaking the relationship. They have a deal and both two collaborators will get their bite for it. They finish closing the pact with a menage a trois.

Back at the Coral resort, the bride is on the phone with her father and again insists that her husband Richard is with her 24/7 and is waiting for him to go on another excursion.

The employee (Francesco Malcom) hears the entire conversation. He hides well and acts clueless but is actually smarter than the manager. He approaches as soon as she cuts off the communication and puts the cards on the table for him.

To add even more fuel to the fire, Richard is telling the brunette, who is the conspiracy of the ship, that he is only with his wife for the money ... The humiliation is total. Just married, in the tropics, and in a dramatic situation.

Darkness is closing in on me

The poor girl has just seen with her own eyes what she already suspected in the face of her husband's continuous evasiveness. Now he wants to get off the island, he needs to go home as soon as possible.

How can I get revenge? Enlighten me Francesco

The employee tells her that it cannot end like this, with her running away when she was not at fault. Now he has to pay him with the same coin, fornicating with two strangers. At first, she does not contemplate such a perverse scenario, but later she retracts and accepts that Francesco organizes a meeting for her on the island's pontoon, with two boys.

And now, suddenly, yes?

Perhaps moved by a sixth sense, Richard suddenly wants to make love to his wife ... but is rejected without any mercy, and with good reason. She is justified in having a busy excursion first thing in the morning.

Two young men await him on the pontoon: a hotel customer and the other a conspiracy buddy. The plan is going perfectly and the truth is that the girl does not seem to do anything bad in the guild of orgies.

Oblivious to what happened on the pier of the Hotel in the morning, Richard is in the hotel bar trying to pick up a blonde. He always walks with the rod ready, man. But this time, they reject him again. It seems his luck has run out.

To top it off, Francesco appears in the lonely British-style bar and poses as a private detective sent by his father-in-law to take pictures of him committing adultery. Richy is out of the game ... The detective offers him an alternative and that is to pay him using a credit card: € 100,000 in exchange for the evidential photos.

The play continues when he meets with the woman to tell her that there is a private detective sent by her father on the island, which is not him since for her he is a mere hotel bellboy, and that he has photographed him fornicating with the two satyrs.

"If my father finds out, he will leave me nothing and give everything to my whore sister". 

Quiet, there is always a tailor-made solution

The employee tells him that he has become a colleague of the detective and that they can buy him with some money, so that he does not communicate what has happened to his father. She only has € 60,000 in cash to give him, and she regrets that she will not be able to give the kind employee a commission.

The truth is that it is a seamless plan and he has been doing it for some time, since there are many couples who commit adultery, and that now he is going to move to another hotel so as not to leave a trace and be able to continue doing his true work without complications.
